The Vision Behind the Project The client’s requirement was simple yet ambitious — to create a landmark commercial space that not only functions efficiently but also reflects the artistic heritage of Tamil Nadu. We designed a structure that is bold in form, rooted in culture, and sustainable in execution. Striking Façade with Cultural Expression The building façade stands tall with a 30 ft jali screen, acting as both a climatic filter and a design statement. Alongside, the handcrafted Sabadhi artwork narrates stories of tradition through intricate stone carvings. Together, they make the building instantly recognizable and deeply connected to local culture. Adding warmth to the structure, a wooden wox ceiling was introduced at the entrance, giving visitors a welcoming and elegant first impression. Double-Height Spaces & Natural Light The interiors of the building are designed to maximize spatial openness and light. A double-height ceiling with glass bricks ensures that the space remains naturally bright during the day, reducing the need for artificial lighting and creating an inviting work environment. Rooftop Luxury – Swimming Pool Design On the top floor, we integrated a rooftop swimming pool, redefining the way commercial spaces can be experienced. It serves as both a lifestyle amenity and a design highlight, setting this project apart from typical commercial structures. Interior Design Approach Inside, the design follows a minimal-modern theme with neutral palettes, custom-built furniture, and efficient zoning for multiple commercial uses. The interiors are kept flexible so that the space can adapt to offices, showrooms, or mixed-use tenants. Lighting design, ergonomic furniture, and climate-responsive materials were carefully selected to deliver a functional yet stylish interior. Execution Excellence From planning and structural design to façade work, interiors, and final handover, this was a turnkey project executed by Team DOTO. Our focus was on high-quality materials, sustainable techniques, and artisan collaboration — especially for the Sabadhi artwork, which brought in the touch of Tamil craftsmanship.
